Arunachal Pradesh Assembly election results 2024 LIVE: Counting of votes to start shortly
The results of the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly election will start coming out shortly. For an Assembly of 60 seats, a party needs to get at least 31 seats to cross the majority mark. The BJP has already won 10 seats unopposed. The India Today-My Axis exit poll prediction on Saturday showed that the BJP is likely to secure a thumping victory in the northeast state with 44 to 51 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress is likely to get one to four seats, exit polls results showed. The local NPP is likely to win 2 to 6 seats, as per the exit polls predictions. Assembly and Lok Sabha elections were held simultaneously in Arunachal Pradesh in the first phase on April 19. The state registered a voter turnout of 82.71 per cent in the assembly polls.
