HMPV: Frenzy in India but no signs of Covid-like panic on Chinese social media
An analysis of social media posts on Weibo suggested that HMPV's spread in China was not as lethal as it was being portrayed in India. No signs of restrictions on the movement of people or mass casualties as seen during the outbreak of Covid-19 in early 2020 were found.
