New video from Israeli police shows Israeli officers facing gunfire as they rescue 3 or 4 hostages held by Hamas in what appears to be a family's home. Current and former U.S. officials tell NBC News the Biden administration has discussed potentially negotiating directly with Hamas to try to secure the release of American hostages still being held by Hamas.
