Russia's Putin proposes sacking Defence Minister Shoigu, parliament says
President Vladimir Putin has proposed replacing his defence minister and long-term ally, Sergei Shoigu, more than two years into the Ukraine war, the upper house of Russia's parliament said on Sunday.
