Unlike Uttar Pradesh, California, America's UP, doesn't call the shots
Separated by some 12,000 kilometres, Uttar Pradesh and California have a lot in common. But there's one area where the parallels might not be valid. Unlike UP, with 80 Lok Sabha seats, which is a decider of which party rules India, California's consistent Democratic support makes it a predictable player in the US.
