Veteran BJP leader and 6-time MLA Suryakanta Vyas dies at 86

Suryakanta Vyas began her political journey with the Jana Sangh in 1963. She won the Assembly polls six times, in 1990, 1993, 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2018. Vyas wasn't given a ticket for the 2023 Assembly polls due to her advanced age.
