Wimbledon 2024: Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz was tested in the men's singles first round by World No. 269 Mark Lajal. The Spaniard won in straight sets after fending off the threat from the Estonian. Stan Wawrinka, Daniil Medvedev and Grigor Dimitrov also reached the second round.
