Election Result 2024 Live: Counting of votes for the high-stakes Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana is set to begin today. While Jammu and Kashmir voted in three phases from September 18 to October 1, Haryana went to the polls in a single phase on October 5. This was the first time that the union territory voted in an Assembly election in the past 10 years and also the first after abrogation of Article 370. In Haryana, these polls are the first major direct contest between the BJP and the Congress following the Lok Sabha polls.
