Bessent Welcome Pick for Treasury Secretary, says Hedge Fund Industry Group Head
"We would welcome a hedge fund executive as Treasury Secretary," says Jack Inglis, CEO of the Alternative Investment Management Association, which represents 2,100 corporate members in 60 countries. Bessent has a "deep familiarity" with financial markets and would prioritize "stability," he argues. Inglis also greeted the planned resignation of SEC Chair Gary Gensler.
