Bombay High Court upholds tax exemptions for Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust
The Income Tax department said that the Trust received donations of Rs 400 crore till 2019 but only Rs 2.3 crore was spent for religious purposes, and major expenses were for educational institutions, hospitals and medical facilities, and hence, it should be taxed.
