Few women have entered Lok Sabha from Delhi. Coincidence or underrepresentation?
In the Lok Sabha polls after independence, Delhi has elected very few women candidates. Data suggests that since 1962, of the 106 parliamentary contests from various seats in Delhi, only 12 were won by women candidates, which accounts for 11.3 per cent.
