In a first, Jharkhand appoints transgender as community health officer
Amir Mahato, who has done her nursing training in Jharkhand's Sambalpur village, was among the 365 candidates appointed under the National Health Mission. Her appointment letter was given by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
