Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 5 Voting Live: Voting to begin in 49 Lok Sabha constituencies; 35 Odisha Assembly seats
Voting for 49 Lok Sabha constituencies across six states and two Union Territories will begin on Monday morning in the fifth phase of the general elections. Simultaneous polling will also take place for 35 Assembly seats in Odisha. High-profile Lok Sabha seats including Amethi and Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh will head to the polls today. A total of 695 candidates, including Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Smriti Irani, and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, are in the fray. More than 8.95 crore people, including 4.26 crore females and 5,409 third-gender electors, are eligible to vote in this round.
