Valentina Petrillo to become first openly transgender athlete at Paralympics
Valentina Petrillo, at 50, will be the first openly transgender woman to compete in the Paralympics, participating in the T12 classification for visually impaired athletes. Valentina overcame societal challenges and a degenerative eye condition to reach this milestone.
