Veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani discharged from hospital in Delhi
Lal Krishna Advani, a BJP leader, was discharged from Apollo Hospital, Delhi, after comprehensive evaluations by specialists. The Bharat Ratna awardee, born in Karachi, began his political journey with RSS as a swayamsevak in 1942. He worked for the Organiser and fully engaged in politics from 1967, advocating the Ram Temple demand and leading BJP till 2005. He entered the Rajya Sabha in 1970 and won the 1989 Lok Sabha election from New Delhi, defeating Mohini Giri. Advani stepped down in 2013 after Modi's selection for the 2014 campaign.
