Water level dips to historic low in Uttarakhand's Bhimtal lake, tourism hit
A decline in rainfall and snowfall in Uttarakhand's Kumaon region has resulted in a dip in the water level in Bhimtal Lake. A climate activist said the lake's depth reduced from 22 metres to 17 metres due to the accumulation of silt and other pollutants in the lakebed.
